Polymer nanoparticles are colloidal particles within the size range from 1nm to 1000 nm and have shown great potential for targeted delivery of drug molecules to improve therapeutic efficacy. Initially formulated like (nano) emulsions, a very small droplet consisting of a solvent containing both the active pharmaceutical ingredient and the the polymer is formed.
